The International Football Association Board (IFAB), is the only world body empowered to modify the rules of football. It consists of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and FIFA. At the Annual General Meeting, held between the months of February and March (this year will be on February 28) is carried out by the discussion and study of any amendment to the regulations. Each country has one vote, while FIFA has 4 votes, as the representative of the other constituent countries. To confirm these changes, you need the approval of three quarters of the associations present.
This year, the IFAB, examine the option to add a card from a new color, orange. Card that is a compromise between the yellow and red, due to some tickets or violations of the rules fall short of the yellow, and some red, are excessive.
The orange card is intended, causing a temporary ban. But with this, there are many doubts, because, what would be the time of removal?, If it shows a goalkeeper, "leave the field?.
Despite being a reality in other sports like handball, but I think it is very difficult to use in the sport king, as in sports where applicable, are much more dynamic, in addition to whether IFAB is characterized by something, is to preserve the original essence of football.
Other issues to be discussed, affect the number of substitutions, the time rest and if the player is being treated at the band breaks the offside trap, as happened in the last European Championship, the match between Holland and Italy. Greetings and see you soon ...
